Hanoi is a bit compact, but the most interesting places of the city are all relatively close to each other. That is the reason why it is easy to enjoy the best parts on foot or by a cyclone. You should spend your time exploring the beauty of Hanoi with a lot of interesting places such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoan Kiem Lake, One Pilla Pagoda Bat Trang pottery village, Long Bien Bridge and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Particularly you could probably explore the Old Quarter, the most famous tourist destination in Hanoi and enjoy a lot of interesting things in a single day.

Tour Reviews
We knew we only had 36 hours in Hanoi as we travelled so I started googling what to do with one day in Hanoi and stumbled upon these free tours. My husband was a bit sceptical wondering why it was free and would they try to get you to buy things At partner shops etc. We thought why not try and asked for a guide who could share history, local sites, architecture and shopping! . The next morning Scarlett was waiting at 9 am in the lobby. We had an amazing five hours walking all over, getting wonderful and unique stories and history about the city and culture and she even helped me find a lovely silk market to buy fabric for my sister! It was extra special that she was 18 and could walk and talk with our 15 yr old and discuss school, lifestyle and culture differences from the teen perspective! They both hated Chinese class in school so the bonding started right away! . It was an amazing day made so much more interesting with the lovely Scarlett’s information. We went down back streets and shortcuts we never would have found and saw behind the tourist streets! We tipped her well as she was worth it but she did not expect anything as she looks to enhance her English and cultural understanding However, For anyone who gives of her time so generously we wanted to give back! Fab day!! ❤️
